Botanical Name: Pterocarpus Soyauxii

Also know as Mutui, Ngula and Bosulu This wood is vivid reddish-orange, but it changes to bright red or coral pink with dark streaks. It is harvested in the Congo of Central Africa. There are something like 17 known species that have been used for everything from carvings to domestic flooring to umbrella handles.
